Meeting with Secretaries Purisima and Domingo

Gregory Domingo, the new Secretaries of Finance and Trade & industry respectively of the Philippines. The two officials were making their first visit to the United States to engage American business leaders on President Aquino's economic goals and the policy priorities for the administration's first 100 days. Meeting with Ambassador Marciel

Ambassador Marciel gave an update on the state of U.S.-Indonesia relations, goals and objectives of the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta and responded to questions from members.

Reception for the Deputy Prime Minister of Laos

Thongloun Sesoulith (above, left), during his first visit to the U.S. that also marked the first ever official visit to the U.S. by a top-ranking Lao government official since the US-Laos Permanent Normal Trade Relation (PNTR).

Luncheon with Sri Mulyani Indrawati

Sri Mulyani began her four year term as Managing Director of the World Bank in June. The Council thanked Ms. Sri Mulyani for her hard work during her time in the Indonesian Government, and discussed the future of reform and politics in Indonesia.
