Prime Minister Najib made his first official visit to Washington , D.C. at President Obama’s invitation to attend the Global Nuclear Security Summit. On April 14, at the Four Seasons Hotel, the Council and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce honored Prime Minister Najib for his work to advance the relationship between the United States and Malaysia. The dinner was well attended by 300 people from the business, media, academia, think-tank, U.S. government, as well as the diplomatic community. The Honorable Kit Bond, U.S. Senator from Missouri, delivered a toast to the growing relations between the U.S. and Malaysia.

Prior to the Dinner, Prime Minister Najib held a private roundtable with the Host Committee: The Coca-Cola Company, ConocoPhillips, Intel Corporation, Motorola, Philip Morris International and and Patron Sponsors of the Dinner: Abbott Labs, ACE, The Boeing Company,
C.V. Starr & Co, Inc, ExxonMobil, General Electric Company, Merck, and Oracle Corporation.
